Major textile events to be held in China

Two world-class textile industry conferences will be held in Zhejiang Province in eastern China in early November.

At the press conference held in Beijing on Wednesday, the organizers announced that the 2023 International Textile Manufactures Federation (ITMF) Annual Conference, the Sixth World Textile Merchandising Conference 2023 and a series of activities, both conferences will be take place in Keqiao District, Shaoxing City in Zhejiang from Nov. 3rd to 10th.

Keqiao is known as "the largest textile trade distribution center in the world".

This county-level area covers an area of about 1000 square kilometers, and its economic and trade network connects 210 countries and regions.

Nearly a quarter of the world's textile products are traded here, with an annual turnover exceeding 330 billion yuan (about 45.2 billion U.S. dollars).

According to the organizer, during the ITMF Annual Conference, hundreds of participants will discuss the global macro-economy and China's textile industry, and share their practical experience in the global textile industry.

The World Textile Merchandising Conference consists of a theme forum and 10 parallel forums.

Parallel forums include a conference on "the Belt and Road Initiative," a round table forum of famous enterprises, a summit on textile digital inkjet printing and a forum on the green development of textile industry.

Texprocess 2026: Automation, digitalisation and AI redefine textile processing

Making investment decisions in textile processing has become significantly more demanding. Messe Frankfurt commits further to East Africa: three textiles trade fairs during Africa Sourcing and Fashion Week from 2027

Messe Frankfurt and its Texpertise Network continue their steady, successful trajectory in the region. As Africa Sourcing and Fashion Week (ASFW) opened today, Member of the Executive Board Detlef Braun announced that Messe Frankfurt is licencing its three leading international trade fair brands Texworld, Apparel Sourcing and Texprocess to Nairobi, Kenya for the first time in 2027.
