Candidates for the 2023 ICAC Research Associates Program must apply by 9 April

For the 2023 edition, the Secretariat developed a brand-new curriculum that encompasses all the areas of expertise of the ICAC, from production, market, trade, economics to textiles. The first week of the program will be conducted at the offices of the Secretariat in Washington, DC.
Presentations will be made on topics including production practices, market, trade, economics, and textiles, using new training technologies developed by the ICAC. Participants will be briefed by members of the Secretariat and by experts from US research institutions and the US Department of Agriculture. The program also includes a visit to a cotton producing area in the United States for two or three days.
Participation in the program is open to persons from ICAC Member countries, including persons from government agencies, universities and the private sector. Candidates from non-Member countries are invited to participate on a paid tuition basis. The tuition for the program is US$5,000 per participant.
Candidates from ICAC Member countries will be responsible for the cost of international travel to and from Washington, DC. The ICAC will bear the cost of travel within the USA, including transportation and lodging. Non-tuition participants from Member countries will be provided with a per diem amount of US$50/day for food and miscellaneous expenses, not to exceed US$500/person.
