No cooperation between Moenus and Benninger

NO COOPERATION BETWEEN MOENUS AND BENNINGER The planned cooperation between Moenus Textilmaschinen AG and the Swiss Benninger group has not materialised. After completion of the "due dilig
ence" appraisal at Benninger, it was found impossible to agree on the terms of the contract of sale, and Moenus therefore decided not to go ahead with the purchase.

Even without this merger, the Moenus group is well equipped for the future. The extensive restructuring measures are well advanced, preparing the group for a more difficult market with keener price competition.

Prof. Dr. Klaus G. Lederer, chairman of the board of management of Babcock Borsig AG, commented: "Our strategy remains unchanged; it does not depend on a particular partner. We remain on the lookout for cooperation opportunities for Moenus AG that will make the company even stronger."
