ITM showcases cutting-edge innovations at Techtextil and Texprocess 2024

In a groundbreaking move, the Institute of Textile Machinery and High Performance Material Technology (ITM) of TU Dresden will be showcasing its latest advancements at Techtextil and Texprocess 2024, with an impressive presence across three stands at the Frankfurt/Main trade fair from April 23rd to 26th.

At Techtextil (Hall 12.0, Stand D41), ITM will offer visitors an immersive experience into the forefront of machine and product development along the textile process chain. Highlights include the unveiling of the RR Raschel machine from RIUS, featuring a revolutionary revolving weft insertion module developed at ITM for tubular binding implants in the medical field. Interactive demonstrators, including an activatable textile membrane and wind rotor blade with integrated sensors, will also be on display, alongside new exhibits showcasing advancements in composites and functionalized textiles. Additionally, attendees can explore diverse results of textile structure and process simulations, alongside constructive technological developments at ITM.

Simultaneously, ITM will present its degree programs in textile mechanical engineering and textile technology at Techtextil (Hall 12.1, Stand A26). Prospective students can learn about the Master's degree program in Textile Machinery and Textile High-Performance Materials Technology, as well as the focus on Textile Machinery and High-Performance Materials Technology in the Diploma and Master's degree program in Industrial Engineering and Management.

Over at Texprocess (Hall 8.0, Stand B63), ITM will be represented by the Chair of Development and Assembly of Textile Products, showcasing expertise in the development and assembly of textile products, alongside cutting-edge technologies in 3D/4D scanning, modeling, and recording of movement data. Visitors can also explore training opportunities in CAD software, body scanning, and pattern development.

With an invitation extended to all guests, ITM anticipates four days filled with excitement and intrigue, as they unveil their latest innovations and engage with industry professionals at Techtextil and Texprocess 2024.
