Just in time for the upcoming ITMA ASIA + CITME, the KARL MAYER GROUP is inaugurating a new showroom at its Chinese location in Changzhou. The official opening will take place on 13 October and is a highlight of an in-house show at KARL MAYER (CHINA) accompanying the trade fair, which will run until 18 October.

Stefan Lux is new Managing Director of KM.ON
As of September 1, 2024, Stefan Lux has taken over as the Managing Director of KM.ON GmbH. The computer science graduate has taken over the role from Carla Janz, the KM.ON Head of HR, who served as interim director after the departure of Maximilian Kürig. He will also lead the KM.ON Business Unit of the KARL MAYER GROUP.

Viola Schmidt, who is currently studying for her master’s degree in design with a focus on artistic design at the TEXOVERSUM Textiles faculty at Reutlingen University, took home the renowned design prize “Feel the Yarn” for 2024 in Florence. She also won 5,000 euros in prize money.

Successful presentation of the STOLL Trend Collection at Pitti Filati 95
STOLL was also represented with a stand at this year's Pitti Filati. The flat knitting machine specialist of the KARL MAYER GROUP introduced its new trend collection NOCTURNO and developments from STOLL ITALIA, which were created in collaboration with the yarn manufacturer IAFIL Industria Ambrosiana Filati S.p.A. Mayer & Cie. presented an overview of its current portfolio in the circular knitting sector at the ITM in Istanbul. Two machine types – the SF4 3.2 III and the Relanit 3.2 HS II – and various smart solutions that make circular knitting more efficient were on display. knithawk, a tool for the optical detection of knitting defects, met with interest among the visitors.
