SHIMA SEIKI to showcase flat knitting and digital design solutions at Egypt Stitch & Tex
The exhibition, showcasing the forefront of digital transformation through sustainable digital technologies and virtual sampling utilizing 3D design systems, is gaining recognition as a key business hub attracting buyers from across the globe. In line with this theme, we will be offering solutions for automated knit product manufacturing, featuring our latest computerized flat knitting machines and design system.
N.SSR®112/N.SSR®132
SHIMA SEIKI’s global standard in shaped knitting, the N.SSR® series, now includes an even more cost-effective choice. The new N.SSR®112 and N.SSR®132 feature high productivity with a compact, lightweight carriage as well as quick carriage returns with the R2CARRIAGE® system. N.SSR®112 and N.SSR®132 carry over proven SHIMA SEIKI technology such as our renowned Digital Stitch Control System (DSCS®), spring-type moveable sinker system, stitch presser, yarn gripper and cutter, and takedown comb. New features include a 52-inch (132 cm) knitting width for supporting larger sized garments as well as optional sub-rollers, offering the flexibility required for responding to various customer and market needs. Realizing excellent cost performance while ensuring Made-in-Japan quality, safety, reliability and user-friendliness, N.SSR®112 and N.SSR®132 set a new standard for a new era in computerized flat knitting machines.
SDS® KnitPaint-Online
KnitPaint is proven software used by knitting companies across the globe to create knitting data for programming SHIMA SEIKI computerized flat knitting machines. Previously available only as part of SHIMA SEIKI's SDS®-ONE APEX series all-in-one design system, with SDS® KnitPaint-Online, KnitPaint software becomes available as standalone software that carries over the same familiar KnitPaint functions, but enhanced with basic planning and design functionality as well.
SDS®-ONE APEX4
Demonstrations are available on SHIMA SEIKI’s SDS®-ONE APEX4 3D design system, which supports the creative side of fashion from planning and design to realistic fabric simulation and 3D virtual sampling. Virtual samples are a digitized version of sample making that are accurate enough to be used effectively as prototypes, replacing physical sampling and consequently reducing time, cost and material that would otherwise go to waste. Moreover, users can take advantage of this capability not only on the design side but also on the production side. When a design is approved for production, knitting data which is automatically generated can easily be converted into machine data, digitally bridging the gap between design and production. SDS®-ONE APEX4 therefore helps to realize sustainability while digitally transforming the supply chain.
