C&A’s modernisation plan well on track with 70% of European store fleet updated

After updating more than 730 stores in the past 18 months, C&A is well on track with its store modernisation agenda. An interim assessment showed considerable progress in implementing C&A’s store modernisation strategy, which constitutes an important part of the company’s overall “One C&A” strategy. By spring 2023 more than 1000 stores will be updated and offer C&A’s new look and feel to the customers.

 “We want our shops to take on a new role that goes beyond their function as a point of sale,” says Jason Morgan, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Commercial Officer at C&A Europe. “Our store environments serve as beacons and our co-workers as ambassadors to present C&A as a modern and sustainability-driven fashion brand.”





The modernised stores provide an exciting shopping experience that combines the new brand identity with updated customer service. For example, they feature the brand's distinctive new logo and customers have access to free WIFI throughout the shop. The stores also provide a clear and informative focus on the environmental friendliness of the products and on C&A's sustainability efforts in general.

The store modernisation plan is an essential part of the "One C&A" strategy, which serves as a guideline for the transformation of the company. It includes objectives for a clear omnichannel approach, in which the stores will continue to play an essential role as a backbone and gateway for individual and personal customer contact.
