INVISTA Victoria achieves recognition for environmental stewardship

INVISTA demonstrated its ongoing commitment to environmental stewardship by achieving Wildlife Habitat Council (WHC) Conservation Certification at its site in Victoria, Texas.

INVISTA Victoria was designated as Certified Silver, which indicates leadership among the over 600 WHC Conservation Certification programs. Programs are granted a Certified, Silver Certified or Gold Certified designation.

The Victoria site is located about eight miles south of the city of Victoria along the Victoria Barge Canal and Guadalupe River. The site includes a 53-acre constructed wetlands that serves as an environmental science education center for students from the Victoria Independent School District.

“The INVISTA Victoria site is recognized as meeting the strict requirements of WHC Conservation Certification,” said Margaret O’Gorman, President, WHC. “Companies achieving WHC Conservation Certification, like INVISTA, are environmental leaders, voluntarily managing their lands to support sustainable ecosystems and the communities that surround them.”

Chris Brittain, INVISTA Victoria site manager said, “I am proud of our employees’ longstanding commitment to environmental excellence and am pleased to see it recognized by the Wildlife Habitat Council with this designation.”
