Brazilian customer Döhler’s experience on the new TerryPlus-i

TerryPlus-i © 2021 Picanol
Last year we launched our new TerryPlus-i airjet weaving machine. Döhler was the first Brazilian customer to order the TerryPlus-i. Ingo Döhler, Industrial Director, outlines his thoughts on the new TerryPlus-i: “We are very impressed by the stability and performance of the TerryPlus-i weaving machine. TerryPlus-i fulfills its promise of delivering top level pile quality, even at the highest speeds, and this allows us to offer a perfect terry fabric to our customers.”

The company Döhler was founded in 1881 (which makes it almost 140 years old) by Carl Gottlieb Döhler and it is still family owned. Some of the family members are shown in the picture. This successful Brazilian company has more than 3,500 employees and it manufactures a wide range of articles for homes, fabrics for the furniture and mattress industries, as well as corporate outfits and solutions for hotels and hospitals.

Döhler produces 858 million meters of yarn per day and 1,400 tons of fabrics per month in a 200000 sqm industrial park in the city of Joinville. The company produces 12000 items with different characteristics, which it exports to 40 countries.

Besides Döhler, another nine Brazilian companies have also ordered the  new TerryPlus-i.
