UAE company ViroMasks developed probably the world’s safest reusable anti-viral mask

To address the community spread of COVID-19 across the globe, UAE company ViroMasks has brought together a team of leading experts around the world to research, design and manufacture a higher quality product that provides a safer alternative to disposable and fabric masks. With anti-viral protection built-in, the competitively priced ViroMasks offer superior infection prevention for everyday use and can be reused for up to 1 year, maintaining anti-bacterial effectiveness for up to 40 washes and anti-viral effectiveness for up to 20 washes.

UAE company ViroMasks developed probably the world’s safest reusable anti-viral mask that offers 99.99% protection to the wearer and the general public:

  • New anti-viral daily use mask is hailed the safest in the world
  • ViroMasks powered by HeiQ Viroblock technology that inactivates more than 99.99% of COVID-19 causing SARS-CoV-2 viruses on contact, according to research carried out by the internationally renowned Doherty Institute in Melbourne, Australia
  • With innovative design ensuring maximum fresh air flow through three layers of kill-trap-kill technology; ViroMasks provide protection and comfort.
  • Offers optimum standards of safety and protection to the wearer as well as the general public.

The ViroMasks product has been manufactured with HeiQ Viroblock technology which is the first in the world to be proven effective against SARS-CoV-2 virus in the laboratory. In tests carried out by the Doherty Institute, a joint venture between the University of Melbourne and The Royal Melbourne Hospital, fabric samples treated with HeiQ Viroblock NPJ03 had no infective viruses left after 30 minutes. The results from the Doherty Institute indicated a SARS-CoV-2 virus reduction of 99.99%. HeiQ Viroblock is a breakthrough in the quest to control the spread of the virus. Our particulate penetration testing that our masks have a filter efficiency of 98.5% and bacterial filtration efficiency of 97.75% .

In addition to Virus Neutralization; ViroMasks has an innovative design to place filters filtration technology within the mask. This filtration technology is the same as used in N95, FFP2 or KN95 masks. Designed for daily use, ViroMasks ensures minimal heat and CO2 build up and comes equipped with two exhale valves to provide maximum user comfort.

Usman Khalid, CEO and co-founder of ViroMasks said: “We are pleased to have successfully worked with our partners to design and manufacture a mask that affords all-round anti-viral protection to both the wearer and the general public. While surgical and fabric masks are widely available, they offer no anti-viral protection to the wearer. Considered to be the safest daily use mask in the world, the ViroMask has been formulated with filtration technology to filter above 95% particulates in the air, providing safety and protection against viruses including COVID19 causing SARS-CoV-2. In laboratory tests conducted with HeiQ’s fabric, viruses were neutralized within 30 minutes of contact, compared to the 48 hours neutralization process on disposable and fabric masks.”.
