Robert van de Kerkhof is new ReHubs CEO

ReHubs, the European textile recycling alliance, is announcing today a change in its daily leadership: Robert van de Kerkhof is taking over as interim CEO from Chris Deloof, who returns to Ghent University after 2 years of successful engagement with the organisation.

ReHubs chairman, Alain Poincheval (Reju) thanked Chris for bringing the organisation up to speed, which now includes over 30 member companies, including European brands, textile manufacturers, collectors and recyclers. Robert brings 30 years of experience from the textile industry, and has shown commitment to build a circular textile value chain in Europe through his earlier assignments. His engagement secures the continuity of ReHubs to scale up textile recycling capacity in Europe.

ALADIN paves the way for circular and demand-driven textile production in Europe

Textile production can be organized sustainably by utilizing short supply chains and preventing overproduction. This can already be achieved today by intelligently connecting and efficiently utilizing existing infrastructure. At the same time, production becomes circular when innovative technologies and materials are used that enable high-quality recycling. Ence and ShareTex are making progress on the Atenea R&D project, which aims to develop a complete value chain for textile recycling in Spain. Commission clarifies rules on plastic bottles recycling

The European Commission today adopted new rules on recycling of single-use plastic beverage bottles made primarily of polyethylene terephthalate (PET bottles). These rules establish, for the first time, a methodology to calculate, verify and report chemically recycled content. This is part of the Commission’s December 2025 plastics package.

YKK Corporation has developed a concept version of its premium EXCELLA® zipper series made from nonwoven fabric sheets created by fiberizing used clothing and other textile materials. Katharina Obergruber appointed to the Management Board of Sandler AG
