At the booth, Dilo will discuss the full range of machinery for complete nonwoven lines as well as individual specialty machines and will display nonwoven products produced at its Research and Application Centre. The company will also take this opportunity to present its latest accomplishments and updates in service, software, and new areas of expertise.

Within the Dilo Group – which includes Temafa, Spinnbau, DiloMachines, DiloSystems, and DG Engineering – Dilo has specialised in complete needling lines, offering state-of-the-art solutions for efficient nonwoven production at low energy consumption. As a long-standing leader in needling technology, Dilo continuously develops its machinery and processes to provide cost-efficient solutions for a wide variety of applications. Current developments place additional emphasis on lightweight products below 100 g/m², targeting hygiene, cosmetic, and medical markets.

MicroPunch

For these purposes, a wide range of state-of-the-art needling lines is available, combining high-throughput fibre preparation, highly uniform card feeding, high-speed carding and crosslapping, and drafting frames to achieve an MD/CD ratio of 1:1. The MicroPunch model series allows production of lightweight webs of approximately 30 g/m², consolidated either purely by needling or in combination with light thermobonding, offering a versatile spectrum of product qualities and parameters. The company invites interested partners to request further demonstrations and product development services at its Technical Research Centre.

3D-Lofter

During ITMA ASIA, Dilo will display examples of lightweight nonwovens alongside heavy needled products of up to approximately 5,000 g/m², used for acoustic panels or thermal insulation. This product range also includes new, highly attractive patterning options made possible by Dilo’s 3D-Lofter technique, which applies additional opened fibre onto a needled substrate through an additive manufacturing process. These fibres are bonded through needling and can be further structured using the DILOUR process. The coloured patterns enable modern and appealing designs by feeding various amounts of coloured fibre, creating visual effects such as “sliding colours.” Designers and architects thus gain a unique tool to add visual expression to interiors in homes, offices, hotels, or public buildings. The 3D-Lofter can also be used in automotive interior applications, helping to form moulded parts with reduced fibre use for lighter vehicles.

IsoFeed VRS card feeder

Dilo will also introduce the IsoFeed VRS card feeder, capable of processing lower web weights with improved evenness. Further innovations include the PowerPunch needle loom, which significantly reduces vibration, and the SuperPunch kinematic system – a combination of two HyperPunch needle beam drives – that allows a greater range of advance per stroke at low cost and high throughput.

“Our focus is on the continuous modernization of the overall needlepunch technology – to increase throughput, quality, productivity, and patterning capabilities, and to cover the range from very low to very high product weights,” says J. P. Dilo, Managing Director of Dilo Group. “Needling continues to represent an ideal production process, requiring minimal energy and no water consumption.”

Dilo has also expanded its services with the MODILOUS needle board system, which reduces the cost of needle changes and board maintenance. Visitors can learn more about all these innovations and modern aspects of Dilo’s needling technology at Booth H2 – D202 during ITMA ASIA 2025.
