Mahlo at the virtual Innovative Textile and Apparel Show

For the second time the Innovative Textile and Apparel Show opens its virtual fairground this year. For the second time also Mahlo takes the chance to get in contact with customers from all over the world. The experts from Germany will present the latest systems and solutions for efficient and high-quality textile production and finishing. The Bavarian machine builder's presentation will focus on process optimisation in a digital environment. Visitors have free admission and can register at https://innovate.wtin.com/registration/.

"Solutions for Textile Finishing, Nonwovens and more": this is the all-embracing motto at the Mahlo stand, which will take visitors into the world of measuring and control technology of the highest quality standards.

Thread-straight goods and optimised processes

In the textile industry, Mahlo is synonymous with high-quality automatic weft straighteners. The experts' recipe for success is decades of experience paired with the latest technological developments. Whether roller or needle straighteners, whether for the finest textiles or heavy fabrics - interested parties can find out about the right equipment for their specific requirements.

Solutions for technical textiles and nonwovens

Support in the production process is also available for technical textiles and nonwovens. The focus here is on the Qualiscan QMS quality measurement system.

The modularly designed system, which consists of sensors and measuring frames, measures, logs and controls critical parameters such as basis weight, moisture or layer thickness across the entire fabric width. Depending on the application and task, different measuring methods are used for this purpose.

New Gravimax MMX-R X-ray sensor platform opens up new application fields

The demands placed on quality control in web-based production processes are increasing: materials are becoming more complex, basis weights are varying more widely, and at the same time, pressure is growing to make processes more efficient and transparent. Precise measurement data across the entire web width has therefore become a key factor in ensuring stable production processes. With its new Gravimax MMX-R sensor platform, Mahlo introduces a radiometric measurement solution designed to set new standards in determining basis weight and material composition. The platform combines advanced X-ray technology with newly developed signal processing, enabling measurement tasks that previously often required multiple sensor technologies.

Starting January 1, 2026, Stefan Moll will take over the management of Mahlo GmbH + Co. KG, the world’s leading provider of measurement and control technology for web-shaped materials. With this move, Mahlo is focusing on the long-term safeguarding of its market position and technological leadership. The current CEO, Rainer Mestermann, will leave the company after 14 years as part of a planned succession arrangement.

RE&UP partners with Madewell and ISKO on textile-to-textile denim capsule

RE&UP Recycling Technologies is accelerating the shift toward a closed-loop textile economy through a collaboration with American denim brand Madewell and global fabric manufacturer ISKO. By transforming approximately 20,000 pairs of post-consumer jeans into recycled feedstock for a textile-to-textile denim capsule, RE&UP demonstrates the commercial viability of circular systems in the denim sector.
