Morrison Sales in Pakistan (2002)

During 2002 Morrison supplied five ranges to three well-established factories in the growing market of Pakistan: The Crescent Textile Mills Limited, Faisalabad, Kassim Textiles (Pvt.) Ltd, Karachi, and Naveena Exports (pvt.) Ltd, with factories located in Karachi and Lahore.

MORRISON SALES IN PAKISTAN (2002)

During 2002 Morrison supplied five ranges to three well-established factories in the growing market of Pakistan.

The Crescent Textile Mills Limited installed their first Morrison Machine in October 2002. Morrison, the first licensee of Cluett Peabody for "Sanforizing" installed their high speed Compressive Shrinking Range in Faisalabad. Crescent was established in 1954 and is a well-known high-quality producer of Cotton Yarn, Terry Towels and Home Textile quilt covers, etc. Morrison´s first wide (3.3m) shrinking range in Pakistan is processing sheeting-weight fabrics at speeds over 60 mpm. The range includes Digital AC Drive with Touch Pad Screen providing operators with recipe, diagnostics and process control screens.

Kassim Textiles (Pvt.) Ltd, Karachi, was established in 1988 as a knit producer. This award-winning exporter began production of denim fabrics in 1999. Early in 2002, Kassim selected Morrison as their single source of supply for added indigo dyeing and denim finishing production capacity. Despite previous installations from quality Europeans manufacturers, Kassim selected Morrison as their partner to provide ranges suitable to process lighter denim fabrics with performance characteristics.

Naveena Exports (pvt.) Ltd, with factories located in Karachi and Lahore, is one of Pakistan´s leading knit producers. Established in 1989 the company produces jersey, rib, fleece and pique garments for leading brands and retailers world-wide. Naveena was recently awarded Pakistan´s vendor of the year by AMC, Target´s exclusive buying office. Naveena will begin production of innovative fabrics for current denim fashions with the purchase of Morrison´s Dye Range for 24-rope production and integrated denim finishing range. In addition to light and dark indigo shades and sulfur colors, production possibilities include lighter fancy yarn counts (slub, ring) and stretch denim fabrics.
Morrison´s indigo dyeing and denim finishing technologies were supplied by Morrison´s exclusive Pakistan representative, Madhani and Associates, of Karachi and Lahore.
