‘I was fortunate to start my career with a leading textile machinery manufacturer in Turkey and later gain valuable experience in international sales,’ explains Kaynak. ‘It is an exciting challenge to now be working for Mahlo - a brand that is virtually synonymous with weft straightening machines in Turkey.’

In return, the machine builder from Germany is happy to have Kaynak join the team. “With his deep understanding of the Turkish market, he is a great addition to our team”, says Mahlo CEO Rainer Mestermann. The textile sector in Turkey has always been very important to Mahlo and will remain so in the future. “This makes it all the more important to have a colleague who knows the situation well.”

Focus on growth and innovation

One of Kaynak’s goals is to deepen the good relationships with existing customers and open up new sales sectors. ‘Turkey offers great potential in the areas of plastics, extrusion and film production as well as in the paper sector. We want to continue to grow here with our innovative solutions, such as the online QMS measuring systems,’ he emphasises.

Kaynak sees the current economic situation as a challenge, but remains optimistic: ‘The Turkish textile sector is strong and will recover from the global crisis. We will support our customers with tailor-made solutions and continuous dialogue.’

A new start in Germany

Kaynak and his wife moved from Turkey to Germany for the new position. ‘The move was an exciting experience. Bavaria, with its beautiful cities and proximity to nature, makes it easy for us to settle in here,’ he reports. He adds with humour: ‘My German could still be improved, but I'm working on it!’

He particularly appreciates the helpful corporate culture at Mahlo: ‘From day one, I felt like part of the Mahlo family. The support of my colleagues is great.’

Thanks to the customers and colleagues

The textile expert looks forward to his new role with confidence: ‘I would like to thank our customers in Turkey for their trust and look forward to continuing to provide excellent service and expanding our market position together with my colleagues in Germany.’

Mahlo wishes Kagan Kaynak every success in his new challenge and looks forward to a successful collaboration that will benefit customers in Turkey and beyond.
