Outstanding quality level
The FTF 12 SDS features excellent yarn quality and an optimal bobbin construction which gives numerous advantages on high-speed weaving machines, due to trouble free unwinding. Thanks to the perfect straight yarn path, between top of texturing heater and friction unit, FTF 12 SDS is the ultimate draw texturing machine for the production of delicate yarns like fine denier count and micro filament yarns. This ideal yarn path allows production of a better yarn quality, a lower filament break rate and better evenness from position to position.

Revolutionary new heater technology
The ?V? style heater configuration is suitable for lower denier yarns, micro fibers and the targeted 167dtex yarn. The straight yarn path guarantees the processing of the most delicate yarns at high speed by optimizing thread line geometry in the texturing zone. Rieter?s new heater technology offers significantly lower energy consumption compared to other existing technologies. The use of a single fluid type which covers a wide temperature range of 140°C to 250°C allows to process PES, PA and even PP yarns without changing heaters and gives a high flexibility.

Advanced friction unit technology
The machine is supplied with individually motorized friction spindles fitted with a stack of up to eight 9mm thick disks. This technology allows a quick change of the twist direction (S/Z).Thanks to technology fast evolution on individual drives, energy consumption for individually driven friction spindles is lower compared to a standard tangential belt drive. Furthermore the speed variation is more even from position to position which leads to a constant yarn quality.

Fully pneumatic take-up winder
The take-up system features fully pneumatic operation with adjustment of the damping pressure being controlled from the machine computer.
Air-conditioned headstock
The cabinets are 100% sealed and fully air-conditioned, ensuring trouble-free operation of the machine, in particular the electronic components, even in the most extreme industrial conditions.

Advanced control system
The advanced, fully electronic control system developed by Rieter features computer controlled inverters and full integration of Rieter?s benchmark on-line tension monitoring system ?QUALITENS?.

High flexibility
Thanks to 2 independent production sides the FTF 12 SDS provides a maximum of flexibility because smaller lot sizes can be produced economically.

The machine has also been designed to reduce maintenance costs, including strong frame and components. Operator efficiency and safety are of course always taken into consideration.

Take-up flexibility
The machine can be equipped optionally with an adjustable take-up, allowing the production of 10 or 12" traverse packages using tubes from 290 to 350mm length on the same machine.
