Submit your lecture topic for the new Techtextil Forum now

Techtextil Forum at Techtextil 2016 (c) 2018 Messe Frankfurt
With its Techtextil Forum, Techtextil is launching a new open format for expert contributions at the next edition of the show. Topics for contributions are invited as from today.

Keeping its finger on the pulse of the sector: at the up-coming Techtextil (14 to 17 May 2019), this leading international trade fair for technical textiles and nonwovens will be offering the Techtextil Forum on all four days of the show. With lectures, discussions and interactive sessions, the Forum provides a framework for dialogue between exhibitors and the show’s trade visitors, including researchers, developers and users involved in the field of technical textiles. Anyone interested in giving a talk at these sessions is invited to submit their suggested topics by 7 November.

“The new Techtextil Forum will be situated right in the exhibition hall. That way, both the exhibitors and the trade visitors will have the opportunity to attend lectures of their choice in between their various other appointments at the show and to participate spontaneously in discussions. This means that we shall be able, at Techtextil, to provide additional stimulus for dialogue within the sector. In this respect, the Forum which will be free-of-charge takes the place of the Techtextil Symposium,” says Michael Jänecke, Director Brand Management Technical Textiles and Textile Processing at Messe Frankfurt.

Topics for the Techtextil Forum

The focus of the Techtextil Forum is on new developments, trends and possible areas of application for technical textiles, nonwovens and functional apparel textiles, together with technologies, processing techniques and new products. Suggestions for topics are particularly welcome in the following areas, amongst others: major trends, sustainability, architecture, clothing, health and lifestyle, travel and transport / mobility, smart textiles, filtration, logistics, packaging and recycling. Those interested in contributing are invited to suggest talks, workshops or discussion topics. All suggestions must be submitted in English. The selection amongst the contributions will be undertaken by an international programme steering committee of experts in the field.
