Cetex: Textile innovations “Made in Saxony” at Techtextil

ACPM 200P measuring system for the determination of bending stiffness © 2026 Cetex
This year, the Cetex Institut gGmbH is once again not only exhibiting but also organising a joint booth at Techtextil. Together with co-operation partners, textile innovations “Made in Saxony” will be presented on almost 85 m². The spectrum covers everything from textile machine construction and the manufacture of technical textiles to measuring and testing technology, with research and development also having its place.

Schmietex Engineering GmbH will present its system portfolio in the field of stitch-bonding machines and, in particular, its in-house manufactured knitting elements, modules and a wide range of mechanical spare parts for stitch-bonding machines based on the Malimo principle. With PAMA paper machinery GmbH, the knowledge carrier in the field of production of speciality papers & wet laid nonwovens is also represented at the booth, ranging from customised concepts to the construction of complete, individually customised production lines. No product without comprehensive characterisation - this is where the Hegewald & Peschke Meß- und Prüftechnik GmbH comes into the game. They develop and produce high-quality machines for destructive material testing as well as for furniture and component testing. At the heart of the Chemnitz University of Technology's presence at the trade fair is the Carbon LabFactory Saxony, which will in future be the world's first location for application-oriented carbon fibre research, covering the entire value chain from molecule to high-performance component on a pilot line scale. Technitex Sachsen GmbH is specialised in the production of high-quality technical textiles and has several trade fair innovations up its sleeve, including a new type of coating carrier for the automotive sector, the 3D nonwoven Multivol®, microfibre knitted fabrics for special cleaning applications and an innovative wound cleaning textile.

Cetex Institut gGmbH will be exhibiting the latest generation of the “ACPM 200P” bending stiffness measuring device for automated testing of the bending stiffness of flexible samples made of paper, textile fabrics and films.

The ACPM 200P measuring system enables the precise and automated determination of the bending stiffness of flexible materials using the cantilever method in accordance with DIN 53362. Two measuring levels with different inclination angles, variable feed speed and multi-point measurement ensure highly reproducible results (> 95 %). The digital data output, the high degree of automation and the simple operation make the ACPM 200P developed by Cetex Institut gGmbH a powerful tool for research, development and industrial quality assurance of textile surfaces, films and paper-based materials.

The LSE 2000-2, the multifunctional lab spinner, will also be on view in live action. The machine, which operates according to the ring spinning principle, is designed for processing staple fibres made of cotton, wool, man-made fibres and their blends and can be equipped with 3 different, exchangeable drafting systems. By adapting the additional modules on request, a wide variety of speciality yarns can be produced in just one machine process, such as core, siro or effect yarns.
