Itema Group at ITMA 2023: the new EVO range and a complete offering for the weaving industry

Itema Group, the Italian global leading provider of advanced weaving solutions, participates at ITMA 2023 in Hall 6 – B105 with tangible and significant innovations for the weaving industry.

With a total of 12 Itema EVO weaving machines on show (7 in the Itema booth and 5 in the partners’ booth – Staübli, Van De Wiele, MEI, and Julibao), Itema confirms its attitude in exhibiting weaving machines running innovative, complex, and challenging fabrics to demonstrate its superior textile mastery. At ITMA 2023, Itema brings on stage sophisticated, diversified styles, designed in cooperation with leading textile companies – all Itema customers - such as ISKO, Mantero Seta, Drago Lanificio in Biella, Tessitura Marinoni, Frau Pérez Textiles, and Finsa Textil.

ITMA 2023 comes back in Milan, and Itema takes advantage of this prestigious stage to introduce its new EVO Weaving Range for the first time. The new EVO weaving range features significant innovations designed to raise the bar in terms of textile mastery, eco-efficiency, performance, and easy weaving.

Moreover, besides the unmissable weaving innovations on stage, the Itema Group booth hosts all the Group companies and solutions.?In fact, the Itema Group companies Lamiflex® and Schoch® with their advanced accessories for weaving machinery have dedicated corners in the Itema Group booth, and Itema and previous brands’ OEM spare parts are exhibited, including upgrade kits to optimize machine performance and retrofit latest Itema innovations on existing looms. In addition, the booth hosts the range of nylon and polyester yarns from RadiciGroup, a leading group in the production of textile solutions for numerous markets such as apparel, furnishings, and automotive. In particular, RadiciGroup presents products with a reduced environmental impact, both from recycling and made with raw materials of bio origin.

Itema to showcase weaving excellence at ITM 2026

From June 9 to 13, Itema will exhibit at ITM 2026 in Istanbul (Hall 8 – Stand 806D), unveiling a distinctive exhibition concept designed to highlight the Company’s expertise across the entire weaving value chain. For this year’s edition, Itema will introduce an innovative stand experience built around two core areas: advanced weaving and spare parts solutions and an immersive textile gallery featuring fabrics produced by Itema Customers worldwide.

Itema America acquires Palmetto Loom Reed, strengthening local manufacturing and service in the U.S.

Itema America, the U.S. subsidiary of Italy-based Itema Group, has acquired – through an Assets Purchase Agreement – Palmetto Loom Reed, a Greenville, South Carolina-based manufacturer of weaving reeds and one of the last remaining domestic producers of these precision components in the United States.

Itema exhibits the two best-selling high-end rapier weaving machines of the Region, R9500EVO and Galileo-RX at SITEX 2026

Following the opening of its new Surat Service Center in November, Itema will exhibit at SITEX (Stand 286) from February 21st to 23rd at the Surat International Exhibition and Convention Centre (SIECC). Surat has long been one of Itema’s most strategic markets, a role further reinforced by the inauguration of the Surat Service Center last November. Equipped with an advanced electronic repair center, a weaving machine behavior simulator, and a local spare parts warehouse, the new facility strengthens Itema’s presence in the region while bringing the company even closer to its Customers.

Kruger, Canada, orders first nonwovens line for sustainable wipes from ANDRITZ

International technology group ANDRITZ has received an order from newly established Kruger Nonwovens to deliver a complete WetlaceTM hybrid line for the Wayagamack mill in Trois-Rivières, Quebec, Canada. With this investment, pulp and paper producer Kruger is preparing to enter the nonwovens market with a new generation of plastic-free, chemical-free materials for sustainable wipes. The line is the first of its kind in Canada and is scheduled to start production in 2028.
