While the recycling world is focusing on bottle flakes, which are limited in terms of volume, the potential of another resource remains extensively unexploited. The recycling of residual fibers and fabric remnants into high-quality POY/FDY not only cuts C02 emissions, it also reduces production costs. With its VacuFil Visco+, Oerlikon Barmag’s subsidiary BBE offers the requisite technology for cleaning and utilizing PET waste. Within the context of his webinar, Matthias Schmitz, Head of Recycling Technology Engineering, presents fiber-to-fiber technology and applications.

Barmag and Neumag showcase innovations at ITMA Asia

STOLL in focus:

At the beginning of this year, KARL MAYER announced that it would be shifting its focus back to its core areas of warp knitting, warp preparation and technical textiles. As part of this strategic realignment, the flat knitting machine business under the STOLL brand will be discontinued. The Reutlingen plant will close down on 31 October 2025. Production in China will end in December 2025. This was an extremely difficult decision for KARL MAYER.
