RETECH designs and manufactures godets and draw frames for heated, ambient and cooled processes, enabling precise heat treatment and consistently high yarn quality for a wide range of polymers and applications, with process temperatures of up to 400 °C for high-performance fibers. The company’s key competence lies in exact and stable temperature and speed control, individually adapted to the specific material and process requirements.

Advanced induction heating concepts, available in single-zone or multi-zone configurations, ensure highly accurate temperature profiles and excellent temperature uniformity over the entire godet surface, precisely influencing yarn properties such as tenacity, elongation, and shrinkage to achieve a highly consistent final product.

Energy efficiency and long-term reliability are key elements of the RETECH godet concept. Energy-optimised heating systems and efficient drive solutions are combined with a robust mechanical design to achieve extended service life and maximum machine availability.

The proven non-contact temperature measuring and transmission system UTR-6A continuously captures temperature data directly from the rotating godet and transfers it to the UCR-6 controller for regulation. This enables preventive measures to protect the godet, bearing system and induction heater, while ensuring stable production conditions and supporting the sustainability of the overall fibre manufacturing process.

Young talents honoured – 60 years Walter Reiners Foundation

At the Techtextil trade fair in Frankfurt at the end of April, Peter D. Dornier, chairman of the VDMA’s Walter Reiners Foundation, presented awards to five successful young engineers. Promotion and sustainability awards were presented in the categories of bachelor’s/project theses and diploma/master’s theses. Academic theses are eligible for the sustainability awards if, for example, they develop solutions for resource-efficient products and technologies.

ALADIN paves the way for circular and demand-driven textile production in Europe

Textile production can be organized sustainably by utilizing short supply chains and preventing overproduction. This can already be achieved today by intelligently connecting and efficiently utilizing existing infrastructure. At the same time, production becomes circular when innovative technologies and materials are used that enable high-quality recycling. The ALADIN research project, launched in May 2026 and co-funded with five million euros under the EU Horizon Europe program, is creating the conditions for this.

Ence and ShareTex begin initial testing of the ATENEA innovation project to promote textile recycling in Spain

Ence and ShareTex are making progress on the Atenea R&D project, which aims to develop a complete value chain for textile recycling in Spain. Specifically, the goal of the ATENEA project—which is funded by the Center for Technological Development and Innovation (CDTI)—is to connect all the necessary stages for the recovery of textile waste, from collection and management, through recycling and transformation into new raw materials, to their incorporation into new textile products.
