IRG Polymer Recycling wraps up productive 2025 project cycle
During the session, the consortium presented and reviewed the results achieved over the past twelve months and defined priorities for the upcoming year. The discussions focused on practical pathways to enable textile-to-textile recycling, highlighting both technological progress and remaining challenges.
The meeting once again demonstrated the strong collaborative spirit within the IRG Polymer Recycling network. The ITA team expressed its appreciation for the constructive cooperation and the shared commitment to driving innovation in textile recycling. Project partners include BASF, Bekaert, EREMA Engineering Recycling Maschinen und Anlagen, Fibrant, REMONDIS Recycling, Technip Energies, Oerlikon Barmag and STADLER Group.
Looking ahead, the IRG aims to continue addressing technological, economic and strategic questions along the entire textile recycling value chain, strengthening cross-industry collaboration and accelerating progress toward a more circular textile system.
The Industry Research Group Polymer Recycling is a long-term cooperation initiative between companies active in textile recycling, ITA Technologietransfer GmbH and the Institute for Textile Technology of RWTH Aachen University.
