Textile concrete sculpture for Dr Susanne Klatten

On the occasion of the award ceremony, Prof Gries presented Dr Klatten with a CON-TEXTURES sculpture made of textile concrete by artist Thomas Schönauer. Schönauer created freely curved sculptures made of concrete, which are a mere 20 millimetres thick at a height of up to five metres and thus correspond as filigree surfaces in space with landscape, wind, waves, falling leaves, rain et cetera.

Mrs Klatten was visibly delighted with the gift. "I am glad that I was able to make Mrs Klatten happy with the sculpture," beams Prof Gries.
