With decades of cross-sector leadership experience, Poincheval brings both technical expertise and strategic vision to the role. He spent more than 30 years at global engineering firm Technip Energies, serving in executive positions including Fellow Executive Project Director of ALNG2 and as a member of the Technip Energies Group Executive Committee. Since 2022, he has played a key role in establishing Reju’s Regeneration Hub Zero, an industrial-scale initiative aimed at advancing textile-to-textile recycling technologies.

Petcore Europe, long a central force in PET packaging circularity, has in recent years extended its scope to include polyester textiles—acknowledging the growing urgency to address end-of-life challenges for synthetic fibers. As Chairman of the Textile SIG, Poincheval is expected to help shape Europe’s strategy for achieving circularity in polyester, uniting stakeholders from across the recycling, textile, and chemical sectors.

“With a focus on advancing the circularity of polyester textiles, I am committed to driving impactful change in the industry,” said Poincheval. “Together with our dedicated team and industry partners, we will innovate and implement sustainable solutions that benefit both the environment and the textile sector.”

His appointment comes at a critical moment, as regulatory pressure increases and industrial momentum builds around textile-to-textile recycling. Under Poincheval’s leadership, the Textile SIG is set to play a key role in bridging PET recycling expertise with the specific demands of the textile sector, helping accelerate infrastructure, policy alignment, and technical innovation.
