CONTEST-S®

(c) 2019 Mesdan
Mesdan, having a primary position among the biggest producers of testing equipment for the laboratory analysis of textiles, will present its latest innovation at ITMA in Barcelona. CONTEST-S is a fully automatic high volume testing equipment designed to detect, measure, classify and grade raw cotton stickiness.

If "sticky cotton" is not detected in time and properly handled, it can generate excessive maintenance costs in spinning, affect the production and compromise yarn quality.

Mesdan-Lab introduces the CONTEST-S?

  • fully automatic high volume testing equipment designed to detect, measure, classify and grade raw cotton stickiness (honeydew/sugar content)
  • unique equipment providing cotton stickiness risk probability on the basis of its grade enabling spinners to anticipate proper actions (how to process & blend different cotton bales)
  • ensures fast testing and very repeatable and consistent results
  • Precious tool for spinning mills, cotton traders, textile institutes, R&D labs and other cotton grading, arbitration and classification institutions.

CONTEST-S  is on display at ITMA (Barcelona, 2019, June 20-26) at the Mesdan stand n. A210b in H7 hall, together with the full range of laboratory equipment for spinning. Mesdan's yarn splicer are showcase as well.

LABORATORY EQUIPMENT

The MESDAN LAB line-engineered, designed and made in Italy- offers a complete range of measuring instruments to be used on a variety of different textile materials, either in the laboratory or in the production.

Furthermore, MESDAN is a worldwide leader in the production of joining devices for textile industry with a complete range of splicers and knotters, both in automatic and hand-operated versions, to be fitted on all types of textile machine to join yarns of different nature (in type of fiber, structure and spinning system).
