Registration opens for FiltXPO™ 2025

INDA, the Association of the Nonwoven Fabrics Industry, announced that registration is open for FiltXPO™ 2025, the International Filtration Conference and Exhibition, on April 29-May 1, 2025, at the Miami Beach Convention Center in Florida.

Themed the Future of Filtration: Advancing Technology, Performance, and Sustainability, the exhibition will feature solutions, technologies, and innovations from leading companies across the filtration supply chain. Global attendees will gain critical market insights into industry advancements and connect with key industry players to drive their businesses forward.

The Advances in Filtration two-day technical conference, a collaborative effort between INDA and the American Filtration and Separations Society (AFS), will offer a new, engaging format. This format will feature oral presentations, panels, and posters providing a platform for students, subject matter experts, and research institutes to share their latest findings and innovations in filtration.

Key topics that will be covered at the Advances in Filtration conference include:

+ Nonwovens and filtration solutions for healthy buildings, data centers, and e-mobility

+ Sustainability and circularity in filtration

+ Product innovations and evolving filtration standards

FiltXPO 2025 will open with the Filter Media Short Course, a two-day intensive training session on April 28-29, designed to provide a strong technical overview of nonwovens and their applications in both air and liquid filtration, technology options, unmet needs, and trends for future development.

2026 World of Wipes Innovation Award® finalists revealed

INDA, the Association of the Nonwoven Fabrics Industry, announced the three finalists for the 2026 World of WipesInnovation Award®. The finalists are The Clorox Company for their Clorox™ Refreshables™, Lenzing Fibers, Inc. for their Lenzing™ DualWipe, and Rockline Industries for their First Defense™ Fentanyl Detection Wipe.

Global Nonwovens Alliance unveils Inaugural Board, advancing collaboration and growth worldwide

The Global Nonwovens Alliance (GNA), a tax-exempt federation jointly founded by INDA, the Association of the Nonwoven Fabrics Industry, and EDANA, the Voice of Nonwovens, announces the appointment of its founding Board of Directors. This group of leaders represents some of the most influential executives across the nonwovens value chain and reflects GNA’s mission to foster global collaboration, innovation, and growth in the industry.

Rieter sees Barmag integration on track as orders and sales rise

The first half of 2026 was shaped by the successful completion of the largest acquisition in Rieter’s history. The Man-Made Fiber Division enables entry into the growth segment of man-made fibers and sustainably strengthens Rieter’s market position in the Asia region. The expanded Group is now the world’s leading system supplier for the processing of natural and man-made fibers. In the first half of the year, initial cost savings in material costs and operating expenses have already been realized. The targeted synergies are expected to amount to at least CHF 20 million by the end of the 2028 financial year. Due to the completion of the acquisition on February 2, 2026, the first half of the year for the Man-Made Fiber Division only amounts to five months.
