IFAI launches online community CONNECT

Industrial Fabrics Association International (IFAI) has launched CONNECT by IFAI, an online community that will facilitate valuable networking among industry peers and support industry-wide conversations.

“One of many things the last year has taught us is the importance of connection and networking. With this in mind, we’re excited to launch our newest IFAI member benefit, CONNECT by IFAI,” says Steve Schiffman, president and CEO of IFAI.

CONNECT by IFAI is equipped with a variety of features to help users engage with industry peers, find answers and learn with fellow IFAI members. There are also badge and ribbon labels to showcase certifications, member organizations and industry accomplishments.

A discussion board in the online community provides the opportunity to post questions and find answers. A dedicated Resource Library houses documents to allow for resource sharing. Any attachments posted to discussions are automatically archived in the library, and members can add additional resources to share helpful information.

If a member would like to look for a supplier or a fabricator to help complete a project, CONNECT’s directory is available and can be searched by name, location, company, business type and market served.

IFAI.com/CONNECT is open to everyone, but only IFAI members have full access to all the tools.

2026 World of Wipes Innovation Award® finalists revealed

Stäubli to introduce new S3292 dobby for high-speed weaving at ITME India 2026

Stäubli will introduce its new S3292 dobby at ITME India 2026, taking place from December 4 to 9 at the India Expo Centre & Mart in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh. Designed for high-speed air-jet weaving, the new machine will be among the highlights of the company's presentation, which also includes warp preparation systems, cam motions, Jacquard technologies and digital services.

DITF develops bio-based binding fibers for wood-fiber insulation materials

As part of the CelluWoodFlex project, the German Institutes of Textile- and Fiber-Research in Denkendorf (DITF) are developing bio-based cellulose ester fibers as alternative binding fibers for flexible wood fiber insulation materials. In addition to the spinning process and the production of suitable staple fibers, the institute is also investigating how wood and cellulose fibers can be separated and recycled at the end of their useful life.

Reju expands textile-to-textile recycling network with six international fabric manufacturers

Reju, a textile-to-textile regeneration company, is expanding its industrial network through collaborations with six fabric manufacturers in Europe and the Americas.
