Flat knitting solutions provider SHIMA SEIKI of Wakayama, Japan is pleased to announce the opening of a special page featuring new and recommended products for spring/summer 2022 by yarn manufacturers participating in the digital yarn sourcing web service “yarnbank™.”

Users can also download yarn data for free, for use in fabric simulation and virtual sampling on APEXFiz® and SDS®-onE APEX4, avoiding the need to scan yarn on their own. By using yarn that is used in actual production, knit manufacturers and apparel companies can furthermore rest assured that the simulations created using yarnbank™ are not merely realistic images but accurate representations using yarn that can actually be purchased and used in production.

Lenzing reports improved half-year results and advances strategic transformation

Despite a persistently challenging market environment in the first half of 2026, characterized by volatile energy and raw material prices, subdued global consumer demand and intensified competition from Asia, the Lenzing Group significantly improved its financial performance. In a joint development project with other partners, Barmag and Object Carpet have successfully tested BICO BCF yarn in the carpet manufacturing process. The results show that this innovative yarn technology offers significant performance advantages and opens up new possibilities for recycling-oriented carpet constructions.
