Global debut of Galileo-AX Airjet Weaving Machine

ITMA Asia + CITME 2025 Singapore will mark the official launch of the brand-new Galileo-AX airjet weaving machine. Developed to make the renowned Itema weaving experience accessible to all, Galileo-AX combines Itema textile excellence with competitive cost and energy efficiency.

New Rapier Galileo-RX in wide width and free flight transfer for technical fabrics

Itema will also introduce the latest evolution of the Galileo-RX rapier weaving machine. Specifically engineered for the most demanding technical fabrics, the Galileo-RX will be exhibited in its widest weaving width – 540 cm – and equipped with the Itema FPA free flight weft transfer system. With this new configuration, Itema further expands its range of available widths for rapier machines with free flight transfer.

R9500EVO with New Itema MEC-T Mechanical Tuckers

Itema exhibits the two best-selling high-end rapier weaving machines of the Region, R9500EVO and Galileo-RX at SITEX 2026

Following the opening of its new Surat Service Center in November, Itema will exhibit at SITEX (Stand 286) from February 21st to 23rd at the Surat International Exhibition and Convention Centre (SIECC). Surat has long been one of Itema’s most strategic markets, a role further reinforced by the inauguration of the Surat Service Center last November. Equipped with an advanced electronic repair center, a weaving machine behavior simulator, and a local spare parts warehouse, the new facility strengthens Itema’s presence in the region while bringing the company even closer to its Customers.

India becomes growth engine for the warp knitting industry

ITMA ASIA 2025 exceeded all expectations for KARL MAYER – above all thanks to the strong interest from India: around 30% of the qualified discussions were held with partners from this traditional textile country. The response underlines the growing importance of the Indian market, which could become the second largest sales region for KARL MAYER after China. The warp knitting industry in particular is developing dynamically.

ITMA ASIA in Singapore was a resounding success for KARL MAYER, exceeding all expectations. The company welcomed visitors from 39 countries and held around 570 expert discussions. Most guests came from India, followed by China, Indonesia and Pakistan. The exchange with them was both well-founded and targeted. Sustainable, lightweight, and sound absorbing: Polyester-based front trunk solution for BEVs

As car manufacturers look to further reduce their carbon footprint, Autoneum has developed an innovative front trunk solution for battery electric vehicles (BEVs), made entirely from polyester-based textile. The Ultra-Silent Frunk offers significant weight reduction, improved acoustic and thermal insulation, and uses up to 70 percent recycled material, supporting sustainable and efficient vehicle design.
