Proxima Smartconer® – Smart Winding Intelligence

Proxima Smartconer® represents Savio’s next-generation winding platform, designed to deliver high productivity, low energy consumption and premium yarn quality. The machine is available in a full range of configurations, including fully automatic, manual feeding, cone-to-cone, Duo Lot and large bobbin feeding for the carded wool sector . The platform integrates energy-saving features, optimized bobbin flow and AI-powered functions, supported by Savio Insight, a web-based system enabling remote setup, data tracking and real-time performance analysis.

Phoenix Assembly Winder – Precision Meets Performance

Returning to the market with enhanced digital features, the Phoenix assembly winder offers high productivity, excellent package quality and low operating costs. Phoenix reaches yarn take-up speeds up to 1000 m/min and is suitable for all discontinuous fiber yarns from Ne 1 to Ne 140 . The Savio Multicone digital thread guide reduces setup time and optimizes package formation, ensuring superior downstream results in Two-for-One twisting processes.

Lybra Smartspinner® – We Spin Different

Lybra Smartspinner® is Savio’s air-jet spinning solution developed for applications such as knitting, home textiles and sunshades. A standout feature is the Multi Blend System, which allows two slivers to be fed directly into the spinning chamber. This enables real-time blend adjustments, cost savings in preparation lines and the creation of unique material and color blends, including mélange effects . Lybra combines versatility, efficiency and ease of use, supporting high production rates with reduced processing costs.

Innovative Textile Recycling: New Partnership to simplify textile processing at the Recycling Atelier

Savio Macchine Tessili S.p.A. from Italy collaborates with the Recycling Atelier of Technical University of Applied Sciences Augsburg and ITA Augsburg since September 2024. Savio will support the Recycling Atelier in the areas of winding and quality control of yarns. This cooperation completes the process chain for mechanical textile recycling and opens up new research possibilities.

Savio presents latest technology at ITMA ASIA + CITME 2024

The newest automatic winder Proxima Smartconer® and air-jet spinning machine LYBRA Smartspinner® will be showcased at ITMA ASIA 2024 exhibition, taking place in Shanghai, China, from 2024 Oct 14h1-18th. ITM 2028 opens exhibitor registration following successful 2026 edition

Following the successful conclusion of ITM 2026, preparations for the next edition of the International Textile Machinery Exhibition are already underway. The organisers have officially opened exhibitor registration for ITM 2028, which will take place from June 13–17, 2028, at the Tüyap Fair and Congress Center in Istanbul.

ITM 2026: Mayer & Cie. Global presents itself successfully at international industry trade fair

Mayer & Cie. Global has used ITM 2026 in Istanbul for its first major international appearance since the restart. Together with the Turkish representative Mayer Mümessillik, the company presented its premium circular knitting machines "Made in Germany", explained its future positioning within the group of companies and held talks with customers and representatives from numerous markets. New spinning package with two-step filtration for recycled yarns and more

At the ITM in Istanbul, BB Engineering unveiled its new, patented ValuePack spinning package for the first time, which features a two-stage filtration system. This is particularly beneficial for re-cycling processes. Until now, spinning packs have used either metal powder (“sand”) or filter candles as filter media. Both options are suitable for differ-ent applications, and each has its own specific advantages and dis-advantages.

EU ban on destroying unsold clothing and footwear now in force

The European Union's ban on the destruction of unsold clothing, clothing accessories and footwear has entered into force. Since July 19, 2026, large companies across the EU have been prohibited from destroying unsold textile products, while medium-sized companies will be required to comply with the same rules from 2030.
