Elbit Vision Systems (EVS) increases Asian Textile Market Penetration with its I-TEX Automatic Fabric Inspection Systems

ELBIT VISION SYSTEMS (EVS) INCREASES ASIAN TEXTILE MARKET PENETRATION WITH ITS I-TEX AUTOMATIC FABRIC INSPECTION SYSTEMS Elbit Vision Systems (EVS) Ltd. announced that three of their revol
utionary I-TEX automatic fabric inspection systems are being installed at Sai-Lakshmi?s new state-of-the-art vertical textile plant in South India.

"The most recent installation in India is a testimony to the growing confidence and acceptance of our systems among customers in Asia and the Far East,? said Idan Kleifeld, Marketing Vice President of EVS. Kleifeld added, ?Although the labor costs for manual inspection in these markets are very low, there is a growing demand for our I-TEX automatic inspection systems because they improve quality and increase productivity. India is a highly potential market for EVS products."

EVS' I-TEX 100 and I-TEX 200 systems are already operating at Nahar Fabrics, Ltd., and Oswal Cotton Mills, Ltd., (OCML), both belonging to Nahar Group - India?s leading textile manufacturer and exporter, located in the northern state of Punjab. The I-TEX 100 system is used for inspection of greige 100 percent cotton and cotton polyester fabrics; and the I-TEX 200 system inspects processed and finished cotton, and cotton blend fabrics for shirting and bottom wears. Additionally, the systems are being used successfully throughout Europe, the Far East, and the United States.

The recent successes are a direct result of joint marketing efforts by EVS and its Indian representative - Technoweb, a Bombay-based textile engineering service provider, specializing in the integration of high-tech systems in the textile industry.
Elbit Vision Systems Limited designs, develops, manufactures, markets and supports automatic optical inspection and quality monitoring systems for the textile and the non-woven industries. The Company?s systems are designed to increase the accuracy, consistency and speed of detecting and identifying defects in the manufacturing process in order to improve product quality and increase production efficiency.

Oswal Cotton Mills, Ltd., (OCML) and Nahar Fabrics are part of the Nahar Group - a leading industrial conglomerate of India, with a turnover of US$ 428.5 million, producing yarns, greige dyed and finished fabrics, cotton knitted and woolen garments. The group is among the largest exporters of cotton and cotton blend yarns and fabrics from India.
