Kraig Biocraft Laboratories completes closeout of $8 Million financing, extinguishing all convertible debentures with Yorkville advisors

Kraig Biocraft Laboratories, Inc. (OTCQB: KBLB) ("Company" or "Kraig Labs"), the biotechnology company focused on the development and commercialization of spider silk, announces that it has completed the debt-to-equity conversion on $8 million of convertible debentures with Yorkville Advisors. This closeout comes several months ahead of schedule and positions the Company to enter 2023 without any convertible debt obligations to Yorkville Advisors.

The Company would like to thank Yorkville Advisors and Maxim Group for supporting its vision to transform the textile markets with large-scale production of cost-effective and eco-responsible spider silk.

Kraig Labs currently has more than $4.5 million of deployable liquid assets and will continue to use this capital to develop end-market products and strengthen the supply chain creating its revolutionary spider silk technologies.

“While this financing has been a critical element of our transition to commercialization, we are pleased to report that we have eliminated the burden of this debt and enter the holiday season in a solid financial position. We continue to judiciously deploy this capital to build out our spider silk production capacity. Our focus now is on increasing that production, including further strengthening our production infrastructure. An important part of that program is the planned rollout of new hybrids. Our target remains metric ton production,” said CEO Kim Thompson.

ALLIED expands down traceability with lot-level carbon footprint data

ALLIED Feather + Down has expanded its TrackMyDown traceability platform to include validated cradle-to-gate carbon footprint data linked to individual down lots. The initiative is designed to provide brands and consumers with more detailed environmental information on the materials used in finished products and could also support future data requirements associated with Digital Product Passports.

An eco-friendly alternative to fluorocarbon treatments

Protective and outdoor clothing derives its durable water-, dirt- and oil- repellent properties from the application of fluorinated polymers or per- and polyfluorinated low-molecular- weight chemicals (PFCs). The beneficial properties thus achieved on textiles are offset by environmental and human health risks. For manufacturers of sports, medical, protective and automotive textiles, researchers at the Sächsisches Textilforschungsinstitut e.V. and the Leibniz Institute for Polymer Research have developed liquid-applied dispersions and solutions to functionalise textiles without the use of fluorine.

VDMA Textile Machinery with new Executive Board

At the general meeting of VDMA Textile Machinery held in Hanover at the end of September, Dr Janpeter Horn, Managing Director of A. Herzog Maschinenfabrik, was re-elected as Chairman of the trade association. Regina Brückner, managing partner of Brückner Trockentechnik, and Verena Thies, managing partner of Thies Textilmaschinen, will once again serve as vice-chairs for the next four years.

Rieter appoints Daniel Lippuner as new CEO as Thomas Oetterli steps down

Thomas Oetterli has decided to step down from his function as CEO, effective October 31, 2026, and hand over the Chairmanship of the Board of Directors. “After the successful implementation of the Next Level performance program, the structural measures initiated to consolidate the sites and the acquisition of Barmag, the time has come to hand over responsibility to new hands,” explains Thomas Oetterli.
