YKK subsidiary Golden Hill Tower Limited marks 25 years of operations in Myanmar

Golden Hill Tower Limited, a subsidiary of YKK Corporation, celebrated its 25th anniversary with a ceremony in Myanmar on September 21, 2026. The event brought together approximately 230 guests, including senior executives from the YKK Group, to commemorate the company's development since the launch of its serviced apartment business in November 2000.

Established to provide accommodation for expatriates in Myanmar, Golden Hill Tower Limited has been operating in the country for 25 years. Over this period, the company has maintained its focus on serviced accommodation and business activities closely connected to the local community.

The anniversary ceremony was attended by Koichi Matsushima, President of YKK Corporation; Kazuto Daimon, President of YKK Holding Asia Pte. Ltd.; and Ryuji Shimokawa, President of Golden Hill Tower Limited. The program included a commemorative tree planting and a retrospective highlighting milestones in the company's history.

In addition to its operations in Myanmar, Golden Hill Tower Limited manages serviced apartments for foreign-national employees in Japan and operates Passive Kitchen, a halal restaurant located in the PASSIVETOWN1 residential development in Kurobe City, Toyama Prefecture.

Looking ahead, the company intends to continue its business activities with an emphasis on maintaining strong ties to the communities in which it operates.

Golden Hill Tower Limited opened in November 2000 as a serviced apartment for expatriates in Myanmar. The company also operates serviced apartments for foreign-national employees and Passive Kitchen, a halal restaurant located in the PASSIVETOWN1 housing development in Kurobe City, Toyama Prefecture, Japan.

Approximately 230 guests attended the anniversary ceremony, including Koichi Matsushima, President of YKK Corporation; Kazuto Daimon, President of YKK Holding Asia Pte. Ltd.; and Ryuji Shimokawa, President of Golden Hill Tower Limited. The program included a commemorative tree planting and a look back at the history of Golden Hill Tower Limited.

Golden Hill Tower Limited will continue to conduct business activities rooted in the local community.

YKK invests USD 150 million in new manufacturing facility in India

YKK Corporation has announced plans to construct a new manufacturing facility in India, reinforcing its long-term commitment to one of the world's fastest-growing textile and apparel production hubs. The new factory will be built at Origins by Mahindra in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, and will become the third manufacturing site of YKK India Private Limited. The facility is expected to be completed by February 2028 and represents an investment of approximately USD 150 million, covering land, buildings, machinery and equipment.
