Carrington Textiles publishes third Sustainability Report

Global textile manufacturer highlights continued investment in renewable energy, water stewardship, circular economy initiatives and responsible manufacturing

Carrington Textiles has announced the publication of the third Sustainability Report from the RTS Textiles Group, highlighting another year of progress towards more responsible manufacturing across its global operations. The report outlines continued investment in technologies and initiatives designed to improve environmental performance and support long-term business resilience across the Group’s manufacturing facilities in the UK, Portugal and Pakistan.

Among this year’s key developments is the completion of a new wastewater treatment plant in Pakistan, significantly strengthening water treatment capacity at Carrington Textiles International (CTi) ahead of the facility becoming operational later this year. The site has also expanded its circular economy initiatives through the reuse of biomass and coal ash in brick manufacturing, alongside projects supporting local biodiversity.

At MGC in Portugal, continued investment in renewable energy and energy efficiency has increased solar generation capacity to 8.3 MW, with further projects underway to reduce natural gas consumption and carbon emissions.

In the UK, Pincroft has continued to progress its environmental performance through Combined Heat and Power generation, the ongoing development of its Carbon Roadmap and wider decarbonisation initiatives.

The report also highlights how the RTS Textiles Group is expanding the use of innovative fibres and technologies that combine comfort, protection and performance with reduced environmental impact, helping customers work towards their own sustainability objectives.

The publication of the Group’s third Sustainability Report reflects its continued focus on measuring and communicating progress across its global operations, while investing in practical solutions that support more efficient and responsible textile manufacturing.

Carrington Textiles launches new Fabric Collection Guides at A+A

YKK develops concept EXCELLA® zipper tape using nonwoven fabric partially derived from used clothing

YKK Corporation has developed a concept version of its premium EXCELLA® zipper series made from nonwoven fabric sheets created by fiberizing used clothing and other textile materials. Based on a proposal by fashion designer Yuima Nakazato, this item was created as a result of collaboration between Nakazato, Seiko Epson Corporation and YKK. The concept zipper was incorporated as a material component for pieces in the newest YUIMA NAKAZATO Couture Collection, “INFERNO,” which was unveiled in Paris, France on July 8, 2026.
