Under Armour and UNLESS debuted compostable sportswear at Milan Design Week

At Milan Design Week 2025, Under Armour and sustainable brand UNLESS unveiled their first collaborative collection of fully regenerative sportswear. The line included hoodies, t-shirts, and shorts in men's, women's, and unisex styles — all made entirely from plant-based materials and designed to decompose naturally at the end of their lifecycle.

Presented under the theme "From Plants to Sportswear to Compost to Rebirth," the immersive showcase took place from April 8–10 as part of the Fuorisalone program, illustrating the full regenerative cycle behind the collection.

"Our unique and innovative approach represents a significant shift from the traditional production cycle, which often relies heavily on plastics and generates waste. By using only plant-based materials; this regenerative sportswear collection is designed to decompose rather than pollute – representing a revolutionary advancement in reimagining the future of product creation in our industry, with an innovative commitment that honors both athletes and the planet", stated Eric Liedtke, Under Armour Brand President.

With prices ranging from $30 to $160, the collection demonstrated that performance, style, and environmental responsibility can coexist. The UA x UNLESS collection became available exclusively at the Under Armour Brand House in Baltimore at the end of April.
