Gartex Texprocess India opens today with a dynamic showcase of cutting-edge technologies in garment and textile manufacturing

Mumbai, 01 February, 2024. The 3rd Mumbai edition of ‘Gartex Texprocess India’ opened its door today at Jio World Convention Centre, (JWCC), Mumbai, for the exhibitors and visitors from garment and textile manufacturing.

The show was inaugurated with a lamp-lighting ceremony by an eminent panel of dignitaries including:

In his inaugural address, Shri Chandrakant Patil, Hon’ble Minister of Textile, Higher Education and Technical Education, Parliamentary Affairs, State Border Defense appreciated the organiser’s effort in bringing ‘Fabric to Finish solutions’ onto a single platform. He said: “Being held in two of the country’s prime business hubs, the exhibition ensures that it caters to the business demands of the textile clusters situated across the length and breadth of the country. I am sure it will provide the much-needed opportunity to domestic manufacturers to identify the right technologies, enhance their business and aid the growth and promotion of the Indian garment and textile manufacturing value chain.”

He further encouraged all the attendees to promote the Government’s “Vocal for Local” campaign which is now moving towards “Vocal for Global’’. “Vocal for Local is the real brand ambassador of Make in India movement by emphasizing the promotion of local brands, manufacturing and supply chain.”

More than 120 exhibitors are showcasing their innovation across 32 plus key product categories from the world of textiles. This edition also welcomes 30+ new exhibitors to witness the dynamic show floor of Gartex Texprocess India for the first time. The co-located Denim Show, Fabrics and Trims Show and an exclusive zone on Screen Print India-Textile demonstrate the latest trends and innovations in the industry.

According to the year-end review 2023 by the Ministry of Textiles, last year, the government took key initiatives like launching PM MITRA Parks, investing approx. Rs. 2119 Cr. under PLI Scheme and funding 126 research proposals under National Technical Textile Mission (NTTM) for specialty fibre and technical textiles to boost the sector’s growth.


Mr Sharad Jaipuria, President, Denim Manufacturers Association while delivering his Key Note address said: “The Denim Manufacturer Association of India (DMA) is committed to advancing the denim industry in the country. Through our active participation, we aim to engage with all stakeholders in the denim community. This event showcases the versatility of denim as a preferred fabric for various applications and provides an inclusive platform for all supply chain players to collaborate, network, and foster a fair and equitable environment.

The exponential growth of the denim industry presents tremendous opportunities for all participants in the supply chain. Recognizing the importance of sustainable practices, the industry is actively promoting circularity and eco-friendliness. We extend our best wishes to the entire team of Gartex Texprocess India for the resounding success of this event.”

Speaking on the sector’s growth trajectory, Mr Raj Manek, Executive Director and Board Member, Messe Frankfurt Asia Holdings Ltd said: “The sector is witnessing robust growth. Along with the growing support from the government, and the rapid adoption of automation, technologies, and innovative machinery, the textile industry is in its transformative phase. The 10,000 sqm of exhibition ground is packed with exciting displays highlighting new-age machinery, advanced technologies and solutions, trending fabrics and raw materials. In this edition, brands from India like Balaji Sewing Machines, Beharji Enterprises, BrillBrains Technolabs, Codeverse Technologies, Ginni International, Lenzing Fibres India, LNJ Denims, Mexum Texink and many more are displaying their innovative products. It also has international participation from brands like Jack, Siruba, Brother, Pegasus, Yumei, Bruce and more from countries like Spain, Germany, Japan, Singapore, China and others.

The show floor is packed with an exciting display of new-age machinery, advanced technologies and solutions, trending fabrics and raw materials along with latest technology in cutting plotters, digital textile printers, heat transfer machines, denim laser and finishing machines, 3D transfer labels, printed tapes and elastics, sequins chain and loose for hand embroidery, garment accessories and a large variety of fashion fabrics.

The three-day event supported by the Ministry of Textiles, Government of Maharashtra and Denim Manufacturing Association (DMA) will conclude on 3rd February. The event will once again prove to be a ‘one-stop’ platform for companies to widen their business network and exchange knowledge and expertise.
