DyStar, a leading specialty chemicals company with more than a century of expertise in product development and innovation, today announced the release of its FY2025 Sustainability Report, marking a significant milestone in its sustainability journey and reinforcing its commitment to long-term value creation.

As DyStar steps into 2026, the company reflects on five years of transformation, resilience, and progress amid a challenging global landscape. Despite geopolitical tensions, supply chain disruptions, and inflationary pressures, DyStar has continued to strengthen its global operations, advance innovation, and deliver on its sustainability commitments.

Strong performance against 2025 sustainability targets

The report highlights DyStar’s achievement of several key environmental targets:

  • 51% reduction in emissions intensity compared to the 2011 baseline
  • 81% reduction in water consumption intensity, demonstrating strong resource efficiency
  • 58% reduction in wastewater intensity, reinforcing environmental stewardship

These results underscore DyStar’s disciplined approach to sustainability, driven by innovation and operational excellence across its global footprint.

Driving accountability and continuous improvement

DyStar remains transparent about areas requiring further attention. Challenges in waste production and packaging intensity—partly linked to plant closures and resource redeployment—continue to be addressed. Energy intensity also approached target levels despite ongoing efforts to reduce reliance on non-renewable sources.

These insights reflect DyStar’s commitment to continuous improvement and accountability.

DyStar Group Managing Director, President and CEO, Xu Yalin, said: “Our progress reflects the collective strength of our people and partners. Together, we have demonstrated that resilience, responsibility, and innovation can drive meaningful change. As we move forward, we remain committed to accelerating our 2030 goals while building a future where sustainability and digital excellence go hand in hand.”

DyStar 2030 sustainability goals

The 2025 milestones provide a strong foundation for DyStar’s next phase of growth. The company is accelerating its 2030 sustainability goals, with a focus on:

  • Expanding renewable energy adoption
  • Advancing resource efficiency
  • Strengthening responsible supply chain practices

This forward-looking strategy reinforces DyStar’s position as a trusted partner in the global textile and chemical industries.

Guided by purpose and empowered by innovation, DyStar will continue to deliver sustainable solutions that create long-term business value while contributing positively to society and the environment.
