Textile means more than just a piece of clothing today, it has always been closely related to our daily life. According to the International Data Corporation (IDC), the shipping of wearable technology is expected to increase by almost five times from 2017 to 2021 (from 210 million pieces to 1,150 million pieces). The 19th International Exhibition on Textile Industry (ShanghaiTex 2019) will be grandly held on 25-28 November 2019 at Shanghai New International Expo Centre. The fair will cover nine exhibition halls with a total area of 100,000 sq.m. It is expected to gather more than 1,200 exhibitors to showcase the latest innovations in textile and fashion technology, creating a one-stop information and trading platform to lead the future of textile and fashion industries. Under the theme of “Smarter Textile?Better Life” , numerous thematic seminars and a competition, as well as the newly established TexTech Startup Planet will be organized during the fair. In recent years, there is a significant rise in the number of startup companies.
