Indorama Ventures advances circular fashion through RECO Collective 2026

Collaborating with Thai brands CHANA, KH EDITIONS, and APPEAL Summerwear, together with Bulliontex, to transform recycled PET (rPET) into circular fashion that combines style and functionality with practical everyday use.

Indorama Ventures Public Company Limited (IVL), a global sustainable chemical company, is taking RECO Collective into its 12th year under the theme “The Next Original,” reinforcing its mission to promote recycling and upcycling knowledge while encouraging SMEs in the fashion industry to embrace recycled materials. The program focuses particularly on recycled polyester (rPET) yarns and fabrics made from post-consumer PET bottles, using these materials to create value-added products that combine distinctive design with consumer needs and market opportunities.

Through collaboration across the value chain, from textile manufacturers and designers to industry partners, RECO Collective brings together stakeholders with a shared ambition to advance sustainability in business.

This year, RECO Collective is working with three distinctive Thai fashion brands: CHANA, led by Mr. Chanajit Noodech; KH EDITIONS, led by Mr. Naphat Tansuwan and Ms. Panisara Maneerat; and APPEAL Summerwear, led by Ms. Thanawan Chantasahawat and Ms. Kansiri Chantasahawat. The designers will participate in the RECO Incubation Lab, an incubation program designed to deepen their understanding of circular materials and refine their concepts through a Circular Design process. From material selection and design to production trials and prototyping, the program equips participating brands with practical knowledge of sustainable design and management, enabling them to create products that meet functional and consumer needs while opening broader market opportunities.

To support this year’s learning and product development process, RECO Collective is collaborating with Bulliontex Co., Ltd., an experienced textile specialist and fabric developer. Bulliontex is providing recycled polyester fabrics for participating designers to experiment with and develop into finished products. The company will also contribute as a knowledge partner, sharing expertise and practical guidance on textile innovation, material properties, and ways to apply recycled materials effectively across different design and functional requirements.

This collaboration is part of a broader effort to build a fashion ecosystem connecting raw-material producers, textile specialists, designers, and industry partners. Bulliontex transforms recycled polyester yarns from Indorama Ventures into high-quality fabrics suitable for further design applications, helping to connect recycled raw materials with fabric development, design, and ultimately value-added products.

Collaboration among all stakeholders is therefore central to transforming Circular Fashion from concept into practice — connecting materials, manufacturing, design, and finished products. At the same time, this approach creates new opportunities for Thai fashion brands and helps unlock greater value from recycled materials throughout the value chain.

Ms. Aradhana Lohia Sharma, Vice President – Finance and Wool Business, Indorama Ventures Public Company Limited, said: “Today’s fashion and lifestyle consumers look beyond a sustainability story. They also expect quality, feel, functionality, and products that work in everyday life. RECO Collective demonstrates that rPET is not simply an alternative material for sustainability; with the right development and design, it can become a value-creating material for high-quality fashion and lifestyle products with distinctive design and real commercial potential. When material technology meets creativity, new possibilities emerge. At Indorama Ventures, we are bringing together our expertise in PET and recycling with designers, textile manufacturers, and entrepreneurs to help bring circular materials into real-world applications and create value throughout the value chain.”

Ms. Kamolnart Ongwandee, Program Director of RECO Incubation Lab, said: “Encouraging consumers to choose products made from recycled materials takes more than a sustainability story. The products themselves must be desirable, functional, and relevant to the way people live. A designer’s role is therefore not simply to incorporate rPET into a product, but to understand the material and use creativity to unlock its full potential. RECO Incubation Lab encourages designers to consider the entire product journey — from concept, material, and production method through to real-world use. When material knowledge comes together with design thinking and consumer understanding, rPET can evolve from a recycled material into distinctive designs that create value.”

Mr. Kovitthad Sirikulthad, Managing Director of Bulliontex Co., Ltd., said: “Bulliontex is delighted to join RECO Collective as a textile partner and to build on our longstanding relationship with Indorama Ventures, one of our polyester yarn suppliers. Over the years, we have continuously developed fabrics using yarns from Indorama Ventures. This collaboration marks another important step in combining Bulliontex’s textile expertise with recycled polyester fibers to create high-quality fabrics designed for real-world applications. We believe that Circular Fashion cannot be achieved by any one player alone. It requires collaboration across the entire value chain — from raw materials and manufacturing to design and end use. Our partnership with Indorama Ventures through RECO Collective demonstrates how expertise from different parts of the industry can come together to create new value from materials and translate sustainability into practice. This collaboration is not simply about using recycled materials; it is about transforming those materials from an idea into tangible value and contributing to a more sustainable future for the textile industry.”

Through this collaboration, the partners hope to see concepts evolve into products that not only deliver on design and functionality, but also have the potential for commercial success — reflecting a shared belief that good fashion should create value for today while helping shape a more sustainable tomorrow.
