Indorama Ventures advances circularity tthrough PETValue Philippines' “Zero Waste to Landfill Partnership” with Republic Cement

PETValue Philippines, an Indorama Ventures recycling facility and a joint venture with Coca-Cola Europacific Aboitiz Philippines (CCEAP), located in Cavite, Philippines.
Indorama Ventures Public Company Limited, a global sustainable chemical company, is advancing the circular economy through a new Zero Waste to Landfill initiative at its recycling site PETValue Philippines, further demonstrating how collaboration across industries can maximize resource efficiency and reduce waste.

Through its recycling business, IndoNova, Indorama Ventures transforms post-consumer PET bottles into high-quality food-grade recycled PET (rPET), helping keep valuable materials in circulation. While bottle-to-bottle recycling remains at the heart of its operations, the company continues to explore innovative partnerships that extend circularity beyond the recycling process. This commitment is being brought to life through PETValue Philippines, a joint venture with Coca-Cola Europacific Aboitiz Philippines, that has now partnered with Republic Cement & Building Materials, one of the Philippines' leading cement manufacturers, to launch the Zero Waste to Landfill initiative.

Located in Cavite, PETValue Philippines is the country's first bottle-to-bottle, food-grade PET recycling facility which recycles PET bottles into new food-grade packaging. In the process, caps and labels that cannot be recycled, are recovered by ecoloop, Republic Cement's resource recovery business, and co-processed as an alternative fuel in cement manufacturing, ensuring they continue to deliver value while reducing waste.

"At IndoNova, we believe circularity doesn't end when a bottle becomes a bottle again," said Pankaj Sinha, Business Head, Recycling – IndoNova, Indorama Ventures. "We are continuously looking for new ways to recover value from every possible material throughout the recycling process. This partnership shows how innovation and collaboration can help eliminate waste, improve resource efficiency, and bring us closer to a truly circular economy."

By combining PETValue's bottle-to-bottle recycling capabilities with Republic Cement's resource recovery expertise, the initiative creates an integrated circular solution that keeps more materials in productive use. The partnership demonstrates how cross-industry collaboration can unlock additional value from resources.

"We help our partners recover value from waste while reducing landfill dependency. This partnership with PETValue is a strong example of circularity in action," said Atty. Angela Edralin-Valencia, Director of ecoloop.

The Zero Waste to Landfill initiative reflects Indorama Ventures' commitment to continuously advancing circularity beyond bottle-to-bottle recycling. Since entering the recycling business in 2011, the company has recyclednearly 180 billion post-consumer PET bottles and today recycles more than 700 PET bottles every second. By combining world-leading recycling expertise with innovative partnerships that unlock value from materials throughout the recycling process, Indorama Ventures is helping reduce waste, strengthen circular systems, and accelerate the transition to a more sustainable future.
