1891 meets 1892 - Expansion of the production site in Coesfeld

The family-owned company Thies Textilmaschinen from Coesfeld in Germany announced on its website that the year 2022 was a challenging one, but also a year with unexpectedly positive surprises for the Thies Group. For example, opportunities arose to expand their company premises in Coesfeld, which they seized with a great deal of confidence and a firm belief in the long-term direction of the family business at the Coesfeld site.

On February 1, 2023, the land and buildings of the adjacent water mill at Neumühle became the property of Thies GmbH & Co. KG. In a statement, the Thies company announced that they would like to thank the Thering family for their trust in selling Thies the properties of their family business, which was founded in 1891. Thies itself had been founded in 1892 at the Coesfeld site by the chemist Bernhard Thies.

The thanks of Thies fasmily also go to all the employees involved, who have already put a lot of effort and complex thoughts into the design of an optimal connection. Furthermore, Thies would like to thank their numerous external partners who have closely supported them with advice and action during the realisation, planning and, from now on, also during the implementation of this sensible expansion project.
