BRÜCKNER in the final of the competition "Entrepreneur Of The Year 2021"

This award is given in the categories Family Business, Innovation, Sustainability as well as Young Companies. For the 25th time, the business award honors entrepreneurship, innovative strength and personal commitment. In addition, honorary prizes are awarded for exceptional social commitment and for exemplary, traditional family businesses. The award ceremony will take place on November 4, 2021 in Berlin and will be hosted by the German news anchor woman Judith Rakers.

This year, for the 25th time, the auditing and consulting firm EY will select the best owner-managed companies in Germany. The pandemic, the digital transformation as well as the convergence of entire industries pose challenges to the economy. Entrepreneurs who successfully steer through these stormy times are doing a very special job. With the "EY Entrepreneur Of The Year", these achievements are highlighted and made visible.

The winners will be announced at a hybrid event at Verti Music Hall in Berlin as well as digitally on November 4, 2021. In addition, honorary prizes are awarded for exceptional social commitment and for exemplary, traditional family businesses.

Out of more than 500 applicants, 36 companies made it to the finals of the competition this year, among them BRÜCKNER Trockentechnik GmbH & Co. KG. "We are very happy about this success", Regina Brückner and Axel Pieper, owners of the BRÜCKNER group, comment the reaching of the final round. "In the last years we were confronted with many challenges: extreme changes in the world markets, many regulatory restrictions, the pandemic and its side effects, interruptions in the supply chains and last but not least the change to a resource-efficient production. Despite all these challenges, we have continued to drive the development of new products and services and have positioned ourselves well for the challenges of the future in the areas of digitalization and sustainability. This award confirms the great achievement of our entire team, who work together with us day after day to ensure the sustainable success of the company."

The awards are presented in the categories "Family Business," "Innovation," "Sustainability" and "Young Companies." One of the winners will represent Germany at the EY World Entrepreneur Of The Year 2022 in Monaco.



An independent jury of renowned experts will select the winners according to the assessment criteria of sustainability of the business model, innovation, transformation, employee management and social responsibility.

About the "EY Entrepreneur Of The Year" competition

The "Entrepreneur Of The Year" program was launched by EY in the USA in 1986. Since then, the competition has established itself in 60 countries and is one of the world's most prestigious business awards. The competition is being held in Germany for the 25th time this year and is supported by well-known companies and media. These include LGT, the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung and Manager Magazin. In addition to honoring successful entrepreneurs, EY also promotes the next generation of entrepreneurs with its "EY NextGen Academy" program.

William Clark & Sons have been providing world class linen direct from Northern Ireland to customers around the world for nearly 300 years. The Company is the only supplier in the world that can produce Beetled linen fabric with that unmistakable sheen. Using the Beetling process the fabric gets pounded for 20 days by wooden hammers on the original beetling engines.
