#Yarn & Fiber
Fulgar voice at the Milan Fashion Institute
The Master stands out for its approach, which guides students in designing garments by considering the entire production chain: from the conscious selection of materials to their durability, from prolonged use to final recycling. A strategic vision that requires future managers to deeply understand the role of ingredient brands and innovations in yarn production—precisely the core of Fulgar’s expertise.
During her lecture, Daniela Antunes showed students how innovative and sustainable man-made yarns can become distinctive elements in building brand and product identity. She highlighted the importance for future managers of being able to communicate with the entire textile supply chain, integrating technical innovation and environmental responsibility into brand and product management strategies.
An approach that Fulgar knows well, having been a pioneer in sustainability and circular economy for over a decade. The company combines the excellence of Italian manufacturing with technological innovation and scientific research, translating this know-how into a portfolio of cutting-edge sustainable yarns: Q-GEO® and EVO® (bio-based), Q-NOVA® (from regenerated raw materials) and Q-CYCLE®, a polyamide with the same performance as traditional yarns but derived from the recycling of end-of-life tires.
Fulgar’s participation in the Master at the Milano Fashion Institute therefore represents a natural meeting between consolidated expertise and new generations. The goal is to engage young talents in textiles and fashion, so they can develop their creativity already shaped by environmental responsibility, preparing them to become the managers the industry needs today.
