INVISTA Victoria site earns ISCC PLUS certification

INVISTA’s manufacturing site in Victoria, Texas, has received International Sustainability & Carbon Certification (ISCC) PLUS certification of its processes to verify and validate bio, circular and bio-circular* feedstocks use. This achievement marks a major milestone in the company’s global strategy and reinforces a dedication to stewardship via environmental protection, social responsibility, and operational transparency.

"We are proud to achieve this milestone at our site in Victoria,” said Nancy Kowalski, INVISTA executive vice president of Upstream Nylon. “It reflects our commitment to efficient use of resources. By offering ISCC PLUS certified products, we can help our customers meet their sustainability and environmental goals."

ISCC PLUS is a global certification system that verifies the sourcing and traceability of biomass and circular products applying a mass-balance approach. It validates consistency with environmental, social, and governance criteria throughout the supply chain, and it provides assurance to consumers and stakeholders regarding the production practices and use of resources.

The certification was awarded following a full independent, external audit by SCS Global Services, and will enable INVISTA to offer ISCC PLUS certified Adipic acid (AA), adiponitrile (ADN) and hexamethylene diamine (HMD). These intermediates could be supplied globally from the Victoria facility.

Kowalski added, “While we’ll be able to supply our customers globally from Victoria, INVISTA plans to seek future ISCC PLUS certifications at other sites around the world.”
