Coloreel awarded Quality Innovation Award - Circular economy and carbon neutrality innovations category

Coloreel and the ground-breaking instant thread coloring technology for the embroidery and textile industry has been awarded the Quality Innovation Award in the category “Circular economy and carbon neutrality innovations, an award from SIQ, the Swedish Institute for Quality.

The Quality Innovation Award is a co-arrangement between quality institutes in several countries that annually awards companies, organizations, or individuals with innovations that have a clear connection to conscious systems in their work and a clearly identified customer need as a starting point. It is crucial to receive the award novelty, usability, learning, customer orientation, and efficiency.

The innovation “Instant Thread Coloring (ITC)Technology for embroidery and textile industry”, is an excellent example of how innovation, technology and environmental awareness can make the world a better place. The innovation is pioneering in that yarn is dyed on site and as needed and the innovation shows the way for the textile industry and other industries that need to take a step towards more sustainable production.

Coloreel Group AB files for bankruptcy

The decision comes after the company's inability to develop its business volume quickly enough and, related to this, secure the necessary financing.

Dyneema®, owned by Avient Corporation, an innovator of materials solutions, is supplying its high-performance unidirectional (UD) materials to world-leading armor manufacturer NP Aerospace, enabling the production of armor systems designed specifically to fit the female body. Grasim Industries announces fresh investment of ₹3094 Crore to expand Lyocell capacity

Grasim Industries Limited, the flagship company of the Aditya Birla Group and a global leader in cellulosic fibres, today announced an investment of ₹3,094 crore, for Phase II Lyocell capacity of 110K TPA at Harihar, Karnataka. This expansion will consist of 2 lines of 55K TPA (150 Tons per day) each. The first line is expected to be commissioned by 2028, and the second line is expected to be commissioned by 2030.

STOLL: Agreement signed for the divestiture of selected assets

In early 2025, KARL MAYER announced its strategic decision to focus on its core business areas of WARP KNITTING, WARP PREPARATION, and TECHNICAL TEXTILES. As part of this move, the flat knitting machine business under the STOLL brand was discontinued and the production site in Reutlingen was closed in October 2025.

TERNAfil wins first place at PitchMiUp Night 2026 in Minden

The RWTH spin-off TERNAfil has developed MAXCarbon, a new high-performance hybrid fibre that combines the mechanical performance of carbon with the temperature and corrosion resistance of ceramic materials. For this development, TERNAfil was awarded first prize at the PitchMiUp Night in Minden on 21 May 2026.

Carbon-ceramic hybrid fibre proves its worth – NRW Minister for Science Mona Neubaur congratulates ITA start-up TERNAfil

MAXCarbon technology, a novel carbon-ceramic hybrid fibre developed by ITA spin-off TERNAfil, secured third place at the HIGH-TECH.NRW Demo Day on the TÜV NORD campus in Essen. The technology combines the strength of carbon fibres with the temperature and corrosion resistance of ceramic materials. Mona Neubaur, Minister for Science in North Rhine-Westphalia, congratulated the team on their success and on winning prize money of 4,000 euros.
