ISPO 2022: Freudenberg presents sustainable product innovations for outdoor clothing, sports and active wear

comfortemp® protect HO 15x GRS

The highly durable padding provides good warmth retention as well as high wearing comfort and withstands 25 cycles of industrial laundering. With a fiber content of at least 20 percent recycled PET bottles, comfortemp® protect HO 15x is certified according to the Global Recycling Standard (GRS).

comfortemp® soft HO 80x

The wadding offers the tailor-made solution for sustainable sports and outdoor applications. Made from 100 percent recyclable polyamide fibers (PA 6), comfortemp® soft HO 80x carries the "Gold level Health" certificate - awarding unlimited recyclability for a continuous and consistent circular economy.

ISPO Textrends Award nomination for comfortemp® nature Lyocell HO 60x

The independent jury has nominated the 100 percent biodegradable thermal insulation comfortemp® nature Lyocell HO 60x, made from Lyocell regenerated fibers, for the Textrends Award fall/winter 2024/25 season. The award is given exclusively to innovative products that are groundbreaking for the development of the textile industry. comfortemp® nature Lyocell HO 60x has a variety of extraordinary performance characteristics as a high warmth retention, bacteria inhibiting and fast drying, furthermore water repellent. High wearing comfort and the assurance of a perfect moisture balance characterize the volume fleece as ideal for the application in sportswear.

High transparency in terms of sustainability

Freudenberg is presenting its entire European and global product portfolio from its "House of Sustainability" at ISPO. The company is consequently taking a pioneering role in the transparent presentation of its entire portfolio of sustainable solutions. Freudenberg Performance Materials will showcase textile innovations that increase efficiency, performance and sustainability in industry and mobility at Techtextil 2026. For the first time since the merger of Mehler Texnologies and Heytex, the MehlerHeytex brand will make its debut as a leading expert in coated technical textiles. Moreover, Freudenberg Performance Materials Filc (Filc), specialist for advanced needlepunch nonwovens and laminated materials, will present its groundbreaking solutions for automotive applications. Filc customers can benefit from the perfect combination of functionality, comfort and sustainability. Freudenberg accelerates local production for apparel market by expanding its site in India

Freudenberg Performance Materials Apparel (Freudenberg Apparel) celebrates the grand opening of a major expansion at its manufacturing facility in Chennai, India, on October 14, adding 20,000 square feet of production space and introducing new production lines tailored to the Indian apparel market. This strategic investment is aimed at significantly reducing lead times and enhancing the availability of high-quality, locally produced interlinings for the fast-evolving apparel sector in India and South Asia.

Freudenberg Performance Materials publishes first Sustainability Report

With the publication of its first sustainability report, Freudenberg Performance Materials has reached a major milestone on its path toward greater environmental responsibility and corporate transparency. Until now, information about the company’s sustainability performance was only included in the sustainability report of its parent company, the Freudenberg Group. The newly released report, however, focuses specifically on the business of technical textiles.

Freudenberg Performance Materials (Freudenberg) will be exhibiting for the first time at CAMX 2025 in Orlando, Florida, from September 9-11. Which is why next week, at Intertextile Shenzhen Apparel Fabrics and Yarn Expo Shenzhen 2026, the organisers have made special efforts to integrate textile topics such as materials innovation, holistic sustainability, digitalisation and AI. Yet, from 9 – 11 June at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center, the platform also includes timeless tradition and heritage-inspired evolution in equal measure. Keeping products moving with Swedish automation at FILTECH 2026
