MUNICH FABRIC START with new SOURCING Area in a contemporary club atmosphere

The die is cast. The SOURCING Area will be launched as part of MUNICH FABRIC START from 3 to 5 September 2019 at the then newly opened Business Club Munich right across the street from the MOC.

This ensures the immediate connection between an appropriately sized, stand-alone area for the growing demand for SOURCING Services and MUNICH FABRIC START and BLUEZONE.

This pooling of a both condensed and yet broad portfolio is a decisive step for the strategic focus of the trade fair at destination Munich.

A high-quality listed factory building dating back to 1926 and reviving an industrial Bauhaus style after high-quality refurbishment, the venue – Business Club Munich – is the ideal setting for re-organising the SOURCING Area.

A selection of approx. 70 international apparel manufacturers and producers will present their services for the segments Women and Men, for Accessories, Corporate, Couture and Tailored in the new Hall 8.

Texhibition Istanbul signals stability and global connectivity

From 4 to 6 March 2026, Texhibition Istanbul once again brought together the international textile industry at the Istanbul Expo Center. Organized by İTKİB Fuarcılık A.Ş. in cooperation with the Istanbul Textile Exporters Association (İTHİB), the fair confirmed its role as one of the most important international sourcing platforms for fabrics and textile innovation. With 500+ exhibitors across 5 halls on 42,850 sqm, the trade fair attracted 19,325 visitors. Fashion for Good launches Project FAE (Feedstock Activation Europe) to develop the sorting and pre-processing infrastructure needed to channel non-rewearable post-consumer textiles into textile-to-textile (T2T) recycling at scale. To address this challenge, FILK Freiberg Institute, an independent research institution with expertise in polymer coatings for textile applications, collaborated with Optotransmitter-Umweltschutz-Technologie (OUT) e.V. The joint project, funded under the German Industrielle Gemeinschaftsforschung (IGF) program of the Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Energie (BMWE), focused on developing flexible, conductive polymer surfaces for next-generation smart textiles.
