Huntsman Textile Effects is bringing its breakthrough disperse dyes and inks, comprehensive range of durable water repellents and deep technical expertise to Techtextil 2019.

Disperse ink ranges to be featured at Techtextil

TERATOP® XKS HL disperse inks. Ideal for automotive digital printing and outdoor end-uses, these inks deliver excellent light fastness and superior printing performance on Kyocera print heads. TERATOP® XKS HL is the only ink range that meets the automotive industry’s light-fastness standards.

TERASIL® TS water-based sublimation inks. Ideal for waterless paper transfer printing, and designed for Piezo Epson DX print heads, these inks deliver high color density and superior printing performance for sportswear, apparel, flags and banners.

TERASIL® W/WW dyes. Robust and high performance washfast dye range for polyester. The range achieves right-first-time performance and is bluesign® approved and suitable for STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® certified textile products.

Huntsman and Steitz Secura deliver breakthrough in sustainable safety footwear

Huntsman, in collaboration with Steitz Secura, has developed a breakthrough polyurethane (PU) solution that can help improve the circularity of safety footwear. Together, the two companies have created a DALTOPED® polyurethane midsole system that can incorporate recycled content without compromising performance – setting a new benchmark in protective footwear production.

Huntsman secures bluesign® APPROVED status for IROGRAN® TPU products

Global chemical company Huntsman has secured bluesign® approval for ten of its IROGRAN® thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) products, which are used extensively across the textile and apparel industry. The materials in question are part of Huntsman’s IROGRAN® film and sheet portfolio, and can be used to enhance the production, performance, and comfort of stitchless, seamless garments including underwear, sportswear, and outdoor and waterproof clothing.

Aachen Summer School: Textiles become smart through 3D printing and origami

From 21 to 29 September 2026, the Aachen Summer School will transform Institut für Textiltechnik (ITA) of RWTH Aachen University into a laboratory of the future: over the course of a week, students will use origami folding techniques and 3D printing to develop active textile structures capable of performing programmable movements. This interdisciplinary event combines theoretical foundations with practical prototyping – from digital modelling right through to functional textile prototypes.

Trützschler to showcase innovations in spinning preparation and nonwovens at ITMA Asia 2026

From November 20 to 24, 2026, the Trützschler Group will present its latest fiber processing technologies at ITMA Asia in Shanghai, China.
