At this year's supplier conference held by polyamide yarn manufacturer Yongrong on January 17, Barmag was honored with the Gold Partner Award. The company presents the award to suppliers who make a significant contribution to the sustainable growth and success of the group.

The Yongrong Holding Group's supplier conference 2025 took place in Fuzhou, China, under the motto “Shaping the future together with a focus on value.” As a long-standing strategic supplier, Barmag was invited and represented by Hou Xiaoguang, Head of Barmag China, and Felix Chau, Head of Sales China.

Barmag and the Yongrong Group have maintained a partnership-based business relationship since 2004, which has developed from a strategic to a value-adding collaboration over more than two decades. In the field of polyamide yarn production, the Yongrong Group is now one of Barmag's most important customers worldwide.

While the company initially used mainly standard equipment from Barmag, the focus is now on customized, innovative solutions that have been jointly developed and continuously optimized. High-quality, cutting-edge technology from Barmag, combined with the Yongrong Group's forward-looking strategy, has contributed significantly to the successful development of both partners.

In the future, both partners intend to further intensify their cooperation. The focus will be on developing environmentally friendly and intelligent production processes for the nylon industry, as well as a new model for a high-quality and sustainable industry.

Barmag presents the next generation of POY production – energy-efficient and partial-automated

With POY 2.0, Barmag is introducing a completely redesigned spinning concept that takes the production of partially oriented yarn (POY) to a new level in terms of technology and economy. The solution, which was presented to a selected audience of experts for the first time at ITMA Asia + CITME 2025, was met with great enthusiasm: several yarn producers worldwide immediately expressed their interest in a pilot plant.

High-performance yarns for tomorrow's mobility

At this year's Techtextil in Frankfurt (April 21–24), Barmag will be presenting comprehensive solutions for the production of industrial filament yarns at the VDMA joint stand (Hall 12, C56). The focus will be on applications that ensure greater safety, durability, and efficiency in automotive engineering.

Monitor, adjust, perfect

FiberGuard BCF is the name of the new system for real-time monitoring of yarn tension in all Neumag BCF production processes. Barmag, the innovation and technology leader for filament spinning systems, presented this innovation of its Neumag product line at ITMA Asia + CITME in Singapore last November. The new BCF yarn tension sensor is compatible with all current Neumag BCF machines and can be easily retrofitted to existing Neumag BCF S8 machines.

Rieter Annual General Meeting 2026: Shareholders approve all board proposals

At the Annual General Meeting of Rieter Holding Ltd. held on April 16, 2026, 342 shareholders representing 64.0% of the share capital approved all motions proposed by the Board of Directors. The shareholders adopted the Annual Report as well as the Financial Statements and Consolidated Financial Statements for 2025. They also granted discharge to the members of the Board of Directors and the Group Executive Committee for their activities in the reporting year. In an advisory vote, the 2025 Report on Non-Financial Matters was also approved.

Covestro, FILK Freiberg, and OUT e.V. develop flexible, conductive polymer smart textile system

As the smart textiles market continues to grow across healthcare, personal protection, sportswear, and automotive applications, developers are seeking new ways to integrate electronic functionality directly into textiles, without the rigidity and complexity of conventional wiring. To address this challenge, FILK Freiberg Institute, an independent research institution with expertise in polymer coatings for textile applications, collaborated with Optotransmitter-Umweltschutz-Technologie (OUT) e.V. The joint project, funded under the German Industrielle Gemeinschaftsforschung (IGF) program of the Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Energie (BMWE), focused on developing flexible, conductive polymer surfaces for next-generation smart textiles.
