eeden is now a Canopy partner

eeden is committed to enable circular textiles by developing recycling technologies that turn textile waste into valuable raw materials. But the commitment goes further – eeden advocates for supply chain solutions that uphold responsible environmental and ethical standards, protecting global ecosystems including Ancient and Endangered Forests.

As co-founder Steffen Gerlach puts it: “eeden recognizes that business leadership and long-term success go hand in hand with environmental responsibility. We are committed to bring our customers, employees, suppliers, and peers along on that path.”

This is why eeden partnered with Canopy – a global network accelerating the transition to sustainable materials and circular systems in fashion and textiles. Canopy’s mission to protect forests and drive circular material flows aligns directly with eeden’s approach to recycling poly-cotton textile waste back into new fibers.

As awareness grows around Ancient and Endangered Forest fibre in packaging, paper, and cellulosic fabrics, eeden will work closely with suppliers, Canopy, and Canopy partners to protect these ecosystems and reduce the industry’s dependence on forest-derived virgin materials.

“We will prioritize production partners who avoid sourcing from Ancient and Endangered Forests – maximizing the availability of solutions that meet the purchasing preferences of Canopy’s policy signatories,” Steffen adds.

Joining the Canopy network is a meaningful step for eeden. It connects the company with the brands, innovators, and changemakers who are serious about making the textile industry genuinely circular.
